What is the maximum material size that can be used?
The maximum material sizes are listed below:
Maximum Material Size: 2" Maximum Square Material Size: 1-1/2 x 1-1/2
An important thing to note about square material is that our staking tools will work on a standard 2" x 2" from a home improvement store. This is due to the fact that dimensional lumber is not exactly 2" x 2"
Does the 30° Staking Tool work with a motor?
Yes! You can use the tool with either a drill or mount it on a motor.
To mount it on a motor, you will have to purchase our adapter, which screws into the threads where the shank typically is.
Recommended Motor Specs: 1 to 1-1/2 HP, up to 1750 RPMs
What if my material is slightly larger than the max material size?
If the diameter is larger than the tool can accept, taper the end with a hatchet or draw knife.
Note: This only works with slightly larger material. If the material is significantly larger, it will stop the tool and not allow it to cut.
