How we got our start

Hammer Stahl Cutlery began in 2008 with the idea of developing a new kind of knife that looks good and performs even better. We sourced high quality German forged steel for the blade and designed a unique quad-tang handle that combines the beauty of wood with the heft and balance of steel.

Hammer Stahl knives are made in the tradition of the great German knife makers, but with a patented new design and a manufacturing process that allows them to be affordable. The razor sharp edges are precisely measured by laser for a world-class cutting edge and the blades are sharpened to a 20 degree bevel angle.
